Customize chats order¶

In the Chat Lists, if alphabetic sort is disabled, newly opened chats -- joined channels and newly opened queries -- are automatically added at the end of the chat list. If this is not suitable, chats may be rearranged in a custom order.

1. Make sure alphabetic sort is disabled (Quassel → Settings → Interface → Custom Chat Lists).
2. Disable layout locking (View → untick 'Lock Layout').
3. In the chat list, drag and drop chats (channels or queries) to modify their order.
4. If desired, re-enable layout locking (View → tick 'Lock Layout').

The new chats order is remembered across Quassel restarts and in Quassel clients on different devices.
