Description

I just had this idea while trying to look back in a buffer for part of a conversation that I had yesterday. At the time I knew I was going to need to refer back to this, but had no way (other than copying out the conversation somewhere else) of bookmarking that point in the conversation.

So I've had the idea that it would be very useful indeed to be able to bookmark a particular line in a particular buffer, and also to be able to annotate the bookmark as well (for example, to clarify or correct something written there). I'd imagine that this would be best handled by right-clicking somewhere in the line and

Some way to browse and search for bookmarks would also be handy so that they can quickly and easily be found. Having this in a sidebar would be great I think as it would then just select the correct buffer and scroll to the relevant point for you.

I think this would be a very useful feature, and a big timesaver.
