Feature #760
Notification for a single channel
0%
Description
I think would be nice to have a function which can be activate/deactivate (just for a single channel) by using right click on the channel (in the channel list), just a new row on the pop-up which already exists, to have a notification for any new message on that channel, so even if I'm doing something else , I don't have to worry about the chat, if someone is answering or not, because right now, when it happen, I always have to bring forward Quassel to check it, and pull back if nobody has answered yet...

Good idea! And while you're at it, it might be interesting to do the same for a single user as someone else requested.

I'd like to add my voice in support of this feature. The ability to "watch" a channel such that any new activity on that channel is treated as worthy of user notification would be a useful thing. Roughly speaking, what I would like is the ability to set a boolean flag on any (or multiple/all) channel such that when that channel encounters activity (whenever anyone says anything), I get a notification. This could be extended to cover join/parts as well, of course.
Thanks.

Why not go all the way and let notifications regex on the sender's nick, action type, channel, and message together?
