Update unread message marker after new messages arrive and not after channel switch

Description
Currently when you switch to a channel where you have unread messages you get the unread messages marked by a line that disappears after you switch to another channel and back. What about leaving the marker a the current position and only update it when there are new messages instead of directly setting it to the end after a channel switch. So when you switch to a channel where you want to read messages and accidentally switch to another channel you don't loose the marker and you still know where to read on.
