double-click on url doesn't work with https

Description
The double-click handler only recognizes http://domain.tld/
It would be nice if it would also support https://domain.tld/ and perhaps also recognize http if there is something directly ahead. As an example - join #amarok.de then you get:

http://amarok.kde.org/de is also not clickable here because of the prepended quotation.

This is a known issue.
As it has been stated on introduction and in the handler this is more than a dirty hack.
There are even more occasions where it won't work. The handler will die when the chatwidget and the chatlines receive their long awaited overhaul.
